While the full impact of COVID-19 on our student community is still unfolding, it has already significantly disrupted their lives, resulting in unexpected financial needs. On average, College of Forestry students have the highest reliance on self-help loans when paying for tuition and basic needs while at OSU. Our students are facing added expenses for travel to their home communities, computers and internet connections for online learning, and medical care while they are away from campus-based student health services. At the same time, many of our students have lost income from jobs that helped cover their basic needs.
